Shows: X Factor vs. Strictly
On Sunday sequin clad Sam Bailey was crowned the winner of the X Factor and Strictly geared up for an all female final; but the real shining stars were the female judges and hosts.
In the red corner… The one and only Mrs Sharon Osbourne was a vision in a stunning Zuhair Murad gown that proved incredibly popular with the fans at home. Not to be outdone of course, Nicole Scherzinger stepped out in a jaw dropping, Twitter hopping, sheer Julien MacDonald creation. In the blue corner… keeping to Sunday night’s sequin embellished theme, Strictly host Tess Daly sadly failed to impress the Twittersphere in her white Temperley London gown.
The two real Fashion MVPs on each show were the ever stylish Claudia Winkleman and Caroline Flack. The Twittersphere loved them in their little black dresses from high street favourites Topshop and ZARA . However Claudia’s on trend lace sleeve swing dress edged forward in the race.
Gabby Logan looked impeccable in a bold red Azzedine Alaïa dress during Sunday night’s Sports Personality Of The Year. We received a wave of tweets about her look; the classic shape and colour was a hit and is outfit of the week
Trending celeb: Lucy Meck
Twitter loved to see TOWIE back on our screens! As we say goodbye to their fashion favourite Lucy Mecklenburgh, we review her final looks on the show! Her amazing white coat saw a huge spike in interest from our followers. The faux fur ‘coatigan’ from River Island was the most popular outfit Lucy wore during the episode and with it’s reasonable price, we could be seeing a lot more of it on the streets of Britain! Viewers also loved her simple sequin Cami from Miss Selfridges worn during the group dinner.
In keeping with the current Christmas Jumper trend, Lucy wore a pink ‘Dear Santa’ knitted jumper - a perfect girly alternative for those questionable reindeer jumpers! (‘Essexmas’ wasn’t short of novelty looks – Arg’s christmas pudding jumper was impressive but not as much as Bobby Cole Norris’ Elf jumper. Definitely our favourite!)
We also continued to see on trend, and festive, red tartan from Pascal in the form of a gorgeous swing dress that is sure to continue being a big seller.
