Ex on the Beach has arrived on our screens at just the right time… as everyone is on the hunt for their perfect holiday wardrobe! Our favourite Geordie lass, Vicky Pattison has been storming our radar with her laid-back looks; from maxi skirts to floral crop tops, Vicky’s holiday wardrobe has been the most sought after of the week! But it was her black Lipsy bandage swimsuit that stole the show, as well as Talitha’s red swimwear. Well, those and Ash’s teeny gold American Apparel shorts!
The swimsuit rush kicked off with the Faiers’ sisters holiday in Dubai a few weeks ago. Twitter fell in love with Sam’s red Vix bikini, and Billie showed off her glowing body in a range of Boux Avenue looks, which were absolutely adored by girls with bigger busts and those looking for suitable maternity beach looks! Fellow TOWIE fashionista Lucy Mecklenburgh was also spotted in a sleek monochrome ASOS swimsuit, that was given the thumbs up by women of all ages!
The annual Met Gala is like Christmas in May for us fashionistas! Thanks to this year’s theme honouring the first couturier, Charles James, we were expecting stunning bespoke creations and impeccable couture looks… And boy, it did not disappoint! Well, maybe a little bit… Twitter was far from impressed with golden girl Lupita Nyongo’s futuristic Prada ensemble, with the majority of tweeters giving her ‘messy’ look a massive thumbs down. Has she ended her red carpet winning streak already? Ladies that DID manage to pull it out the bag included Sarah Jessica Parker in a stunning Oscar de la Renta gown; a golden Lea Michele in Altuzarra and Joan Smalls, whose romantic Vera Wang gown was completely overshadowed by her interesting choice of lip colour! (The purple shade was a hit on twitter and instagram!) But thanks to a quick SOS twitter poll, it was clear that Kendall Jenner was the Belle of the Ball. She, alongside her supermodel friends, Jourdan Dunn, Chanel Iman and Toni Garrn, all wore incredible custom Topshop gowns and left the rest of us in a daze! Who expected to see British high street on the red carpet?! Last year’s Punk theme saw high street retailers start stocking studded EVERYTHING… so could this be something that really picks up with Topshop? They’re already mastering the structured prom skirt… Will they take it to the next level with something akin to tonight’s gorgeous creations?!
Pharrell Williams has been a favourite with twitter fashion lovers and Style on Screen for a while now, and he’s showing no signs of stopping! The newly appointed ‘The Voice US’ judge took to the stage on Monday night in a red Mickey Mouse jumper and twitter went nuts for it! Men and women alike were letting their voices be heard and everyone seemed to be a fan of Pharrell’s playful style… we even heard cries of ‘Forget the hat! Love the sweater!’ The influence of Pharrell’s iconic millinery efforts has now reached the ladies… Paloma Faith was spotted last week rocking the Vivienne Westwood hat and Erykah Badu gave him a run for his money as she took the trend to the Met Gala in Givenchy. Long live Trendsetter Pharrell!
