Trending Celebrity- Emma Willis
Emma continues to generate buzz as this week she wowed in Topshop’s flirty pink striped prom dress and a black Hobbs coat that sent our mentions crazy. We received tweets throughout the programme in regards to the dress, which sold out within minutes of promoting it. She wore our outfit of the week for the second time in a row. She also made waves earlier in the week with a sleek black eviction outfit, paired with the incredible MAC Heroine lipstick. The recently relaunched lipstick generated the most interest we have ever seen for a beauty product. Emma’s first appearance as host on BBC’s The Voice also received a positive reaction. Her navy Rebecca Taylor Nailhead Tee was hugely popular with the female audience but is currently unavailable to buy in the UK, so it’s not going to be a particularly big seller.
The weekend head to head with Emma Willis and Gabby Logan continues, but after last week’s triumph, Splash presenter Gabby Logan may be slipping from her perch. Her Azzedine Alaïa Blister Knit dress received mixed reviews, some commenting that it looked off colour, but her strappy Isabel Marant Paw heels were a definite hit. In the Celebrity Big Brother house Sam Faiers set our followers hearts thumping as she wore Wild Fox’s gorgeous Sequin LOVE jumper. On the other end of the fashion scale Christine Bleakley’s embroidered Carman Marc Valvo dress was a hit with the Dancing On Ice audience.
Sunday saw the first major Red Carpet of the season at the 71st Annual Golden Globes, and there was not a single fashion disaster in sight. Oscar de la Renta scored well with the TV ladies; both New Girl’s Zooey Deschanel and Michelle Dockery of Downton Abbey opted for the iconic designer.
Scandal’s effortless Kerry Washington wowed in crisp Balenciaga and our favourite funny lady Sofia Vergara stole the show in dramatic black Zac Posen. Host and winner Amy Poehler showcased British designer Stella McCartney in three different sleek gowns throughout the show.
Red was the trending colour on the night. Lupita Nyong’o, Emma Watson, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Amy Adams all opted for the shade. Amy channeled her American Hustle wardrobe in plunging Valentino to secure her place on the Best Dressed list. Interestingly, her co-star Jennifer Lawrence’s most recent Dior effort was not well received. Has she finally lost her grip atop the best dressed list?
