Trending Show – Let’s Do Lunch With Gino & Mel
The Loose Women might have gone on a break but the fashion over on ITV at lunchtime certainly hasn’t, and it’s all down to Melanie Sykes! She’s got the super stylish fashion sense of Myleene Klass but with a fabulous high street price tag, and the female viewers are loving it! She burst onto our screens last Monday in a floral Almari number; her most popular look to date! She’s also worn summery looks from Oasis, and Warehouse. Mel’s feminine style attracts women of all ages, from teenagers to more mature ladies, and continues to be popular every day. She’ll be sticking around on our screens until mid August so we’ve got plenty more high street fashion to look forward to!
Dawn O’Porter has started a revolution! Thanks to her show ‘This Old Thing: The Vintage Clothes Show’, vintage style is back on the scene and female audiences are itching to get their hands on their favourite pieces! When it airs, it becomes the most popular trending show of the night! Tweets such as ‘thank you for re-igniting my love for vintage’ are pouring in and people are even tweeting her for personal shopping help! There’s one slight bump in the road; vintage style is one off, so it’s a rarity if you’re able to find an exact match to the items seen on the show. But, the fabulous Dawn has given us all a treat by making her own recommendations at Beyond Retro, and it’s proving to be very popular with the female viewers. It’s not the first time that vintage style has been a hit with female audiences – celebs such as Fearne Cotton and Lily Allen have both rocked retro Williams Vintage dresses. WE SPY A CHEEKY TREND!
Style On Screen has gone down under! The Voice AU, and The X Factor have been going head to head on air for the past fortnight and we’ve found ourselves in the middle of a Minogue fash-off! Kylie and Dannii, both fashion-forward sisters in their own right, seem to have racked up a considerable amount of interest, and we’re now starting to engage with a fashion hungry Australian audience! Much like her time on The Voice UK, Kylie opted for much more high end gowns and mini dresses; this series, she’s worn Saint Laurent, Dolce & Gabbana, Fausto Puglisi and two very popular dresses from Azzedine Alaia and Balmain. In The X Factor corner, Dannii has chosen to showcase smaller Australian designers, like the very popular printed wrap dress from Life With Bird she can be seen wearing throughout the auditions. Might we expect more of the same come the live finals? Throughout the last 3 months, Kylie’s wardrobe has been trending week in week out, but now that The Voice has finished, and what with Dannii’s more accessible wardrobe, we think she might just edge ahead! Who will take the crown?!
