On Monday night’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians finale, we finaaaaaally got to see Kim walk down the aisle in that flawless Givenchy dress. It didn’t matter that we’d already caught a glimpse of the dress on Twitter and Instagram, Kim still became one of the most tweeted about celebrities of the night. There was also a lot of adoring eyes on her make-up, as fans fell in love with the nude lip she sported on her wedding day. And guess what? Kim was rocking L’Oreal Paris $9 lipstick! Kim’s white bridal shower dress was also given a thumbs up by the fashionistas on Sunday night’s episode. She mentioned she’d bought the strapless Chanel number a few years ago, but that’s not going to stop us from channelling her style. Her sisters have also been a fashion staple on the SOS radar over this past series of the show. The recent Thailand episodes saw Khloe, Kendall and Kylie make waves with their wardrobe. Khloe’s ‘East Coast’ swimsuit and Mara Hoffman maxi dress were very popular with her fans. Kylie Jenner’s casual denim chambray romper was a huge hit with the younger audience, as well as Kendall’s crochet top which came straight from their collection at Pacsun. Such a stylish bunch!
Stylist Interview – Nathan Helsel
We named dropped the talented Nathan Helsel in our weekly round up a few weeks ago and now we’ve been lucky enough to grab a word with him! New York based stylist Nathan is currently working with the fabulous ladies of Good Morning America, Ginger Zee & Amy Robach. Despite all the glamourous brands he chooses for Ginger and Amy, he loves a bit of what we call ‘high street fashion’. He is a big fan of H&M, as well as London designer Ted Baker. Nathan is also agrees that the power of social media is having a big influence on fashion today… See what he has to say here!
It’s back. The X Factor finally returned to our screens this weekend and this year we’ll be looking to Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Mel B and the fabulous Sarah-Jane Crawford for some style steals. We can’t wait! We thought we’d be in for a huge surge in interest on Saturday night but it was Cheryl‘s wardrobe that didn’t garner as much attention as we expected. Maybe audiences lost interest because they’ve already seen her outfits. They might even be mourning the exit of fashion favourite Nicole Scherzinger and her revealing numbers. We have high hopes for Cheryl’s live show looks, and we’ll be expecting big name designers much like her last stint on the panel. Her previous looks included dresses by Alexander McQueen, Roberto Cavalli, and J Mendel. We’ll be keeping our eyes on Mel B’s wardrobe too. She’s popular in the US with America’s Got Talent so we can expect some pretty amazing looks from her. Viewers also took a shine to her leather fitted tee from Maje on Sunday’s show. Sarah-Jane will be taking over at the Xtra Factor from another favourite at Style On Screen, Caroline Flack. Unlike Flack’s penchant for a high street bargain, Sarah-Jane has been wearing a lot of high end designers such as Erdem and Michael Kors. Let’s hope she can pull some high street winners out of the bag.
President Obama caused a fashion storm on Twitter last week as he stepped out to make a statement (in more ways than one) in a tan suit. Many news outlets thought his choice of colour was a bit too bold for a formal press conference, while the majority of Twitter gave the summer look a thumbs up. We think the President just started a massive men’s fashion trend!
