Ruth and Rochelle have made a fashionable take over on This Morning, whilst Holly Willoughby is away on holiday. Over the past couple of weeks the two ladies have managed to rack up considerable amounts of attention in regards to their outfits. Interestingly they’ve each drawn in a completely different age range of fashion lovers! Ruth’s sophisticated style is a hit day in, day out with the older audience. Her penchant for a good floral shift dress is always well received – even a few male viewers complimented her on her fab style! Her favourites, Marks & Spencer, Diva Catwalk, and Phase Eight, to name a few. For Rochelle, it’s her more playful vibe that gets her younger fan base tweeting. She’s donned floral French Connection, bright pink Reiss and most recently a very popular tropical print dress by Milly. It just goes to show the vast age range of females watching This Morning. There’s always a piece of age appropriate high street fashion for everyone too. We wonder how super stylish Amanda Holden’s wardrobe will fair when she joins Phillip on the sofa. If her Britain’s Got Talent wardrobe is anything to go by, we’re in for a fashionable treat!
Teen Choice Awards
We finally said goodbye to the ‘white-out’ trend that dominated the BET Awards, and said hello to an explosion of colour! Bright colours were THE key trend on the night at the Teen Choice Awards, with fan favourites Taylor Swift (in Novis), Zendaya and Bella Thorne all rocking the look. Bella’s blue floral custom Candie’s for Kohl’s prom dress was crowned best dressed of the night, and she was also the highest trending celeb on our radar. And not only did super stylish Zendaya turn heads in her hot pink custom Material Girl dress, she also took home the award for Style Icon. Way to go Zendaya! TV Stars Lea Michele, in Fausto Puglisi, and Lucy Hale, who opted for Dior, both trended throughout the awards ceremony and their colourful looks were heavily sought after by fans and viewers. Social Media stars were also hitting the big time on the carpet. In particular Bethany Mota, in her gorgeous lace Sherri Hill dress, proved just how popular these web stars can be. And as for the guys? The Fault In Our Stars winner, Ansel Elgort, rocked a navy leather jacket that had the male audience tweeting all night long. We can always count on the sunny TCAs to brighten up our red carpet obsession!
One of the most hotly anticipated shows of the summer is finally back on our screens – but we’re not watching it for the baking! Mary Berry, Queen of the Floral Jacket, has arrived and we can’t wait to see what she’ll be pulling out of the wardrobe this year. Last series the attention surrounding her brightly coloured outerwear was sky high and Mary had a major influence on viewers’ penchant for florals (and who could forget the iconic floral ZARA bomber jacket of 2012). Can we expect more of the same in this series? Without a doubt. In episode one Mary flaunted two fab floral blazers from Damart and Oasis. The Oasis number garnered huge attention on Twitter, from women of all ages. Luckily for her (and us) florals are MASSIVE on the high street right now, so we’ll be able to steal her style straight off the web. At 79, Mary proves that anyone can be style icon!
