Another red carpet, another live tweet along! We had a GREAT time with our followers on BRITs night… highlights included another brilliant session of ‘Who Wore It Best?’, and of course, ‘Where Is Pharrell’s Hat?!’. If you didn’t manage to catch our live tweet of the BRITs red carpet and broadcast, then you definitely missed out! No worry though, we’ve got all the hottest trends here for you in one fabulous blog post! Here’s the run down of your top looks straight from the carpet!
The BRITs always manages to bring the glitz and glam and this year it was in the form of shiny shiny metallics! Presenter Zoe Hardman wowed in floor length Gold Sequins from Dorothy Perkins… (HOW IS THAT HIGH STREET?! IT’S GORGEOUS!) You can buy Zoe’s exact dress here: http://t.co/mg2Z3DDugO, but be quick… it’s selling out fast! Elsewhere on the red carpet, Fearne Cotton rocked the futuristic trend in her silver prom dress from Prada. Over on ITV2 for the after show party, presenter Laura Whitmore continued the trend in a chic colour blocked Hasan Hejazi AW14 mini dress complete with Jimmy Choo block heels. You can grab our look for less with these on trend Topshop heels here:http://t.co/rLHo3IXEJk.
But trends aren’t just for the girls… Hat-less Pharrell Williams was serving AMAZING metallic in his suit from French fashion house Lanvin. What do you think guys? Could you pull it off?
So, it turns out that there was more sequins at the BRITs this year, than there was at the Strictly Come Dancing Final! And thankfully, it’s going to be a MASSIVE trend for Spring ’14!
Model Rosie Huntington-Whitley wore an edgy red Saint Laurent Paris mini dress. And our new fave Lily Allen, with a fresh new ombre ponytail was clad in floor length vintage ’65 Norrell.
Both Katy Perry and Ellie Goulding opted for costume changes to present and accept their awards thanks to Julien Macdonald’s fresh off the runway A/W14 collection. We were inundated with positive tweets about Katy’s embellished dress, and we agree with you guys – it was one of our favourite looks on Katy TO DATE! One of your best dressed of the night!
And showing everyone how it’s done was, of course, Queen Beyoncé who rocked up to perform one song before hopping back on the private jet. We think we speak for everyone when we say that is one dress we’d love to have in our wardrobes! Her INCREDIBLE green gown came courtesy of Vrettos Vrettakos featured over 400,000 crystals! Blinding! You voted her one of your best dressed of the night! Get our ***FLAWLESS style match and look for less here at ASOS: http://bit.ly/NbUUhR
Continuing the trend from the BAFTAs… single block colour made another red carpet appearance thanks to Rita Ora, Iggy Azalea and Pixie Lott. You just can’t go wrong with one colour, can you!?
Rita STUNNED in canary yellow Prada, with embellished emerald straps; Iggy wore bright red Elie Saab complete with mesh peekaboo cut outs and Pixie was a vision in crisp white DKNY.
One of our most requested looks of the night was the fabulous Tanya Burr who continued her BAFTA Best Dressed success in another high street outfit from Coast. This time, she wowed in a monochrome block stripe prom dress that you can get yourself straight form the fabulous Coast here: http://t.co/qj8Q0JScKt.
So there you have it, the hottest trends from a fantastic night of music! We must say, we absolutely LOVE this trend of wearing premium high street dresses on the red carpet! Such a great way to celebrate British fashion! Do you think it’ll catch on at the Oscars!? HA! P.s. Did anyone else kind of miss Taylor Swift at this year’s show? We did! XO
